Alright, I mentioned this earlier, but heres a picture of my new water heater… w00t, heh.
Also, Dave moved out in Hopkins, so now the house is very lonely… He has a few things there still, including his couch. I don’t know when he’s coming to get them, as my dad hasn’t spoken to him.
Thanksgiving week: Friends came back from college for a few days here. On Tuesday Paul had a “pre-shindig-shindig” whereas we went to see Casino Royale with Paul and Andy. We played some Guitar Hero II as well. I took this picture of Paul with my phone in his semi-regular state.
Friday Paul had his official shindig. The turn out was not spectacular, but decent for Paul’s parties as of late. I believe it was the second party only since 10th grade where there was no Halo involved. We went to see “The Pick of Destiny” and frankly I was disappointed, though honestly I don’t know why I expected better… Guitar Hero II was the game of the night, and I don’t think anything else actually ever hit the TV. I don’t believe the pool table was actually utilized, which is a shame, but its usual proponents weren’t there. The night rounded off as it usually does, with a Perkins run.
Saturday, I went to Mayank’s dorm for something of a get together, went out for Chinese, wandered the streets of Minneapolis, played some classic N64 games. A good night overall. Here’s a picture of me Mayank took when playing with my phone. It is quite possibly the only picture of me in the history of the world, not taken by me, which I don’t hate.
I went for a job interview with “ecreativeworks” on Monday (yesterday) and they offered me a job. I have yet to accept, but am planning on it whenever they get back to me on some questions I popped them in an email. It seems like a pretty solid job. I’m not sure what details I’m allowed to share, for there is an agreement I’ll have to sign, but I will say that I am fairly excited.
Lastly, I believe someone I know, I’m not mentioning a name, has been dropping hints, from subtle to pretty blatantly obvious, so I’ll just say this. Just tell me flat out… Heh, I hope this wasn’t too cryptic, if you don’t know what this is about, it wasn’t meant for you.
Ah feels good to be cryptic with my LJ posts again, its been a while.

On Saturday I got back to Hopkins after like a week, went into the bathroom and discovered there to be no hot water. I thought maybe my dad turned the temperature on the water heater way down again as he does from time to time, so I headed into the basement. On getting down there I discovered the basement to be a large part flooded, some places up to an inch deep. The water heater had sprung a leak, and ironically enough it would appear that despite the water heater being right next to a floor drain, the floor slopes away from the floor drain. This sucks, but its not too bad I suppose. We swept most of the water down the floor drain (there wasn’t much in the basement to get wet, thankfully) and plan on replacing the heater our selves on Thursday.
In other news, I saw "Stranger then Fiction" the other night with my friend Meka. It was actually pretty good, better than I had expected. The ending pissed me off a bit, but I’m not giving anything away.
Oh, in even other news, Paul talked me into investing in Xbox Live. It’s pretty cool, I wish I had more Live enabled games, and I wish more of the ones I do have actually had people playing them. Halo 2’s ranked matchmaking system works really well actually for finding you the proper level of people to play with. If you have live my Gamer ID is ‘ donatj ’ as it is for most things other than OKC and Skype where it was taken. There’s some guy in Finland who steals donatj, I’ve spoken to him on Skype a few times. Last night Paul and I had a pretty good couple rounds of Project Gotham Racing 2, playing with a couple drunk southerners and some guys from England. The drunk southerners were freaking amazing at the game, and used their amazing-ness to hold everyone back, and hilarity ensued.
And lastly, some final notes on my new cell phone: I had the Theme song to Sim City for SNES set as my ring tone, but I found that its fade in was too slow and I was missing calls, so now I have the theme to Super Mario 2 for NES. Lastly, heres a creepy picture of me taken with my cell phone… I was trying to do this thing that happens when I get tired where my right eye slides over into the outside corner, and I kind of loose control of it. It’s a lazy eye. Only happens much when I’m exhausted though. This photo isn’t quite there yet, but I found it weird enough to post.

Originally I was going to do a post about images I never finished, but scrounging around my drive I realized I have far too many, so rather I am going to tonight just post some of my sketches. They were never turned into anything for a reason, most of them are completely awful. Check them out though, and enjoy. I'd love some critique... heh.
